When I was approached to create this shower invitation, the couple had two requirements: that burgundy be used (since it was their wedding color) and musical elements be present to represent their passion as singers, songwriters and performers.
I chose a musical note and music sheet to ground the entire piece and placed 3 elements in burgundy to create balance and emphasis. The bride didn't have a preference for flowers, so I selected chrysanthemums, an Autumn flower, to illustrate using a soft watercolor technique.
